Mechanical or Chemical Engineer Job Order # VS146 Wisconsin A leading international manufacturer of custom industrial water and wastewater treatment systems is seeking a mechanical or chemical engineer. He/She will have the following duties and responsibilities: Performs work that generally involves conventional product designs, but may require innovative applications to achieve desired objectives. Apply appropriate technology with consideration for economy, size, feed properties, utilities, competition and cost. Plan and organize activities as assigned for proposals or contracts. Understand customer needs and sales strategy. Initiate or participate in the design or release of new features or products. Insures that available product options are correct and up to date. Communicates accurate technical and/or design information to provide specifications or assistance to customers and other internal departments. Represents the company in technical capacity with customers and/or suppliers. Travel as required. Prepare technical proposals based on customer requirements and sales strategy, including generation of P&IDs and PFDs. Review customer specifications to determine applicability and conformance. Estimate equipment and component costs for proposals. Estimate resource requirements to provide cost or scheduling information required to meet customer specifications. Size individual equipment components. Five to seven years experience in the water or wastewater industry that is based upon filtration, demineralization, reverse osmosis, and electrodeionization systems is required. |
