A company that has evolved into a multifaceted organization that produces a wide variety of water treatment equipment for a multitude of applications in all the major water treatment markets is seeking a Municipal Sales Manager. He/She will have the responsibility for the following: Increases prospects for company success by progressing as an individual, by revising or expanding this description as appropriate and by performing other duties as assigned. Increases sales within region by following the strategic plan as established by manager-municipal systems in harmony with the overall corporate plan. Managing Independent Sales Representative firm in an assigned region to increases market penetration and meets territory sales objectives. This includes Hiring new sales Reps firms in territories without representation, and terminating under performing Rep firms Monitoring sales activities from firms Coordinate flow of information – leads, proposals, etc., between the company and the rep firm Provide technical and marketing support to Rep firm Obtain sales within region by Developing relationship as well as coordinating communication between Independent Sales Representatives, engineering firms, and municipalities. Making technical presentations to engineering firms and municipalities Presenting technical papers at region trade shows Provide technical support to Sales Reps and engineering firms. Use proper sales techniques, following up as required and striving to reach appointed sales goal Maintains good customer relations and increases prospects for future leads and referrals by executing post sales follow-up program, being involved with customer problems and by periodically contacting customers. Provide regularly updated sales forecasting information to the Manager-Municipal Systems. Assists in development of products by informing engineering/marketing of customer's present and future needs. Improve company profitability by operating at approved budget level and applying standards whenever feasible. Maintains company’s investment in company vehicles by scheduling routine maintenance, maintaining neat and clean appearance (inside and out), and adhering to vehicle registration requirements Protects my health and assist in protecting the health of others by maintaining clean, orderly and safe work practices Experience in the municipal water treatment industry with an engineering degree or equivalent experience in water chemistry and be able to travel to travel 50 % or more is required.
