Home Land Water Security-Sr. Engineer Job Order # JS11105 Alexandria, VA 5% Travel A corporation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to support a wide scope of water security-related activities under a new, 5-year, comprehensive mission contract with the Water Security Division within the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA’s) Office of Water. The division was established to address water security and infrastructure protection issues in the wake of the September 11th terrorist attacks. Job Description: Lead the design, testing, and implementation of contamination warning system demonstration projects; distribution system modeling; tracer studies, online monitor and sensor evaluation and testing; water utility best practices development and emergency response planning: Manage a multidisciplinary staff of engineers, scientists, public health specialists, and consequence management/emergency response experts in support of EPA Water Security Division projects: Provide expert subject-matter expertise on development and rollout of outreach and training initiatives to help advance water security as an integrated part of water and wastewater utility best practices in operations, infrastructure design, planning, and procedures Experience, Education, and Skill Preferences: Minimum of 10 years of water utility expertise; drinking water distribution system expertise a plus: Professional Engineer (PE) with MS or BS in Engineering; MS or BS in scientific discipline also accepted for candidates with utility operations or water quality management experience: Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills required: Strong technical writing skills and fluency in MS Office required: Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance required: Expertise with modeling software is a plus |
