Mechanical Engineer/Designer

The individual qualified for the position will provide mechanical and electrical engineering and design services for bottling, evaporator and cross-flow filtering (RO, UF, NF) equipment and design and work from blueprints, schematics, verbal instructions, to meet customer specifications. They will use AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop and AutoCAD to perform design tasks and produce drawings. They will perform field support and trouble shooting of existing systems and be an expert in the bottling machinery and automation production lines. They will also be responsible for planning, providing and monitoring daily engineering and design work assignments as well as coordinating assigned engineering tasks with sales, customer service, quality, production and purchasing departments. They will be responsible for the preparation, review and formal approval of drawings, models, sketches, process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID's), route sheets, equipment lists, bills of material (BOM’s), manufacturing work instructions, standard operating practices and verbal instructions. They will control and monitor job cost and schedules to meet contractual and budgetary commitments and will develop engineering standards and procedures for engineering design and production fabrication. They will write and administer work instructions and will provide technical expertise to sales and marketing and will implement value-engineering projects, special projects and assignments, product development and R&D work as directed. They will coordinate with staff groups concerning design and delivery of equipment to meet contract commitments as well as advising and consulting with other groups concerning advances and improvements in the technology. They will check their own work to ensure compliance and completeness with regard to project and design commitments and give technical guidance to sales staff and field service technicians as required. The position requires a BS/MS in Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
