Engineering Project Manager Job Order # BB3165 Utah 10% Travel The Engineering Project Manager will oversee project execution from sale through warranty, with responsibility for project schedule, project budget, and technical accuracy. This includes specification compliance, customer interaction, and vendor relations. A delegation-only approach will not be accepted; this is a hands-on job. Responsibilities: COMPLETE PROJECTS ON TIME AND ON BUDGET. Plan and execute job schedule, from purchase order through engineering, submittals, purchasing, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and warranty.Manage project financials; report monthly on project progress and performance. ·Maintain customer relations, serving as primary customer interface. Be knowledgeable and conversant with all aspects of project, to serve as backstop for any team member and keep project information flowing. Review specification and bid package for technical compliance. Review budget against specification to insure execution is profitable. Review technical drawings for applicability and accuracy. Interface with manufacturing, engineering, sales, customer, and upper management to insure information flow. Manage 3-8 projects, 2-8 month lifecycle, each ranging from $100K to $2M. Manage risk and exposure on job execution. Ultimate responsibility for solving all job problems. Qualifications Bachelors degree in technology or business; 3+ years experience in Project Management. Proven experience managing projects >$500k. Proven experience with financial accounting and reporting on projects >$500k. Understanding of chemical/mechanical processes. Ability to read technical specifications, vendor data, and drawings. Advanced computing skills, including AutoCad, Excel, Project. Above average written and verbal communication skills. Field experience preferred. Experience with RO or IX systems a plus. Experience with the beverage industry a plus. |
